Project consisted of the construction of an underground, cast-in-place concrete vault, measuring approximately 90' x 90' x 12' deep to both treat and store surface storm water drainage. The vault includes a pretreatment area, sand filter, overflow storage area, and pump station/wet well. The pump station consists of four pumps, two 5-horsepower and two 35-horsepower. The pumps discharge into Colgate Creek at Berth 1 via 4,100 feet of 14" HDPE force main pipe. Manholes are located along the force main alignment to provide both air release valves and flushing connections. Power to the pump system is provided by an upgraded existing transformer and new breaker pane. Back-up power is provided by an 80 KW diesel powered generator.
